In Testimony Whereof, I have herunto set my hand and seal, this 5th day of April 1855 Signature [Unreadable] aud Bla Ind [Page 4] Trust Fund Mortgage We James P Worthen & Elizabeth Worthen of the County of Blackford in the State of Indiana do mortgage to the State of Indiana, all Lots 13 & 14 in Baileys Addition to the town of Hartford City Ind. For the payment of Forty One dollars & thirty three cts, with interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum, payable in advance, according to the conditons of the note hereto annexed. In Testimony whereof, we have hereunto set our hands an seals, this 5th day of April 1855 Signature of James Perry Worthen Signature of E Worthen I JaMes P Worthen promis to pay to the State of Indiana, on or before the 5th day of April 1860 the sum of Forty one 33/100 Dollars, with interest thereon, at the rate of seven per cent per annum in advance, commencing on the 5th day of April 1855 and do agree that, in case of failure to pay any installment of said interest, the principal sum shall become due and payable, together with all arrears of interest, and on failure to pay such principal or interest when due, two percen damages shall be collected with costs, and the premises mortgaged may be forthwith sold by the County Auditor for the payment of such principal sum, interest, damages, and costs.
