| Jesse M. Foulke was the 10th of 15 children born to
Judah
and Sarah McCarty Foulke. Jesse was born on 18 Sept 1805
in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. His siblings born before him
were Samuel, Eleanor, Mary, Ann, Thomas, Elizabeth, Jane, Amelia and
Cadwalader. Jesse and Mary Yost were married on 30 March 1831 at Short Creek Monthly Meeting in Harrison County, Ohio. Mary was the daughter of Michael and Rachel Yost and was born 9 Sept 1803. According to sources they did not have any children together. The records of the Short Creek Monthly Meeting in Jefferson County, Ohio show that Mary died in the 3rd month of 1840 when she was 36 years old. I have so far not found a record of her burial but have to assume it was probably in Jefferson County, Ohio and possibly in the Short Creek mm Cemetery. Jesse and Mary Baker were married in April 1843 at Clear Creek Monthly Meeting in Highland County, Ohio. Mary was the daughter of Amasa and Sarah Hayburn Baker of Highland County, Ohio and had been born in Oct 1814 in Pennsylvania. |
