"A.D. Chapman had a grocery store on the north end of Reed Station, and it was also the post office, they remembered. 'The post just came in once a week. If it was the day for the mail to come, a hook was raised and someone inside the train hung the mailbag on the hook. Then a man delivered the mail to our homes on horseback."

Had 2 grocery stores across the road from each other - the one on the north side owned by A. D. Chapman served as the post office. "The Post just came in once a week by train.  On mail day a hook was raised along side the tracks and someone inside the train would hang the mail bag on this hook.  The mail was then delivered to the homes on horseback."
